Designing and reclaiming interesting pieces of
furniture for which he creates paint finishes, ranging from the simply
classical to the more unusual and exclusive is another aspect of his
creative output.
For him the aesthetic lies in how we can reclaim the
old and make it new by changing it's original purpose, or using it in
a different way, which serves us better, whilst at the same time
giving us joy by making it into a piece of art, or decoration for its
own sake.
Creating a visual feast with light and dark, matt and
gloss, riots of colour, or optical illusions that invite us to
appreciate what we use regularly and take for granted, enabling us to
enjoy what could be mundane.
